RIBBON ATTACHMENT: Battle Efficiency “E” Device – 3/16″ Silver

Criteria: The Silver Letter “E” Device, also known as the Battle “E” Device, is bestowed by the U.S. Navy along with the Battle Efficiency “E” Ribbon to recognize those on permanent duty on ships, squadrons or units that have won a battle efficiency competition.

The Silver Letter “E” Device is given for up to three presentations of the Navy “E” Ribbon, with subsiquent devices pinned on the original award ribbon. On the fourth presentation, a Silver Wreathed “E” Device is given and it replaces the previous three devices on the award ribbon. After the fourth award, no subsequent “E” devices may be displayed on the uniform. Efficiency
