POLICE BLUE SHIELD AWARD RIBBON

The Police Blue Shield Award Ribbon is an authorized ribbon award for the Chicago Police Department. Ribbon includes metal frame. Item does NOT include pin clutches with butterfly clasps, ribbon rack or any appurtenances (stars / oak leaves). Those items are sold separately.

Award Description: Granted to any Sworn Department Member who, as a result of accidental causes, has been seriously, critically, or fatally injured while in the performance of police duty. This award will be limited to those cases resulting from an accident (e.g., a traffic accident, heart attack or other nonviolent incident that occurs in the direct performance of police duty).

Presentation: This award is presented to Sworn Department Members in the form of a ribbon bar, Medallion and certificate.
