Award Description: Granted to any Sworn or Civilian Department Member for a successful effort in saving a human life that involved exceptional courage or performance.
Presentation: This award is be presented to Sworn Department Members in the form of a ribbon bar and certificate. Civilian Department Members are presented this award in the form of a Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) lapel pin and certificate.
